The franchise joined the NFC back in 1972. The Steelers are four-time national champions of the Canadian Major Football League; winning the title in 1972, 2007, 2009 and 2010 as well as seven-time provincial champions in 1972, 1975, 1976, 1980, 2007, 2009 & 2010. The Steelers boast a total of 22 Hall of Fame inductees.
In 2024, the Steelers became a founding member of the Ontario Power 5 Football League. Canada's top league for adult semi-professional play.
